PRESION.PROFUNDA
Commissioned for the presentation of the “Presion.Profunda LP” by Nev.era, featuring visuals by Carol Xarlene, for a tour at MUTEK and MIRA Festival, I created a screen for digital projections across various events and cities.
Drawing inspiration from Lygia Clark’s Animals series, where metal plates were joined by hinges in sculptures, I designed a screen that prioritizes mobility, versatility, and articulation. This allows adaptation not only to different festival spaces but also to the unique characteristics of the projections, while maintaining consistent structure, functionality, and durability. The use of hinges and rotation lock systems in joining the screen’s different planes facilitates easy assembly, disassembly, and provides transport and storage solutions. This commissioned work is inherently active, establishing a complete existential integration in its relationship with space and the specific needs of the projections.
